Fashion photoshoot in Vietnam

Vietnam is a beautiful country with interesting urban lifestyle and amazing nature. Appreciating this beauty of Vietnam, Maison 123, a French fashion brand has chosen Vietnam as one of the destinations for their photoshoot.

Paris is one of fashion kingdom of the world. Paris fashion and Vietnam sightseeing are great combination to create beautiful pictures.

In this project, we’ve worked with a great production company based in Thailand, Under A Palm Tree.

Bringing into Vietnam dozens of outfits, Australian model Zoe and Chinese model Peng, the fashion brand chose Old Quarter of Hanoi, Ha Long bay, Pu Luong, Ninh Binh and Hoa Binh as locations for their photoshoot.

Pre-production for fashion photoshoot

Communication started on Mar 3rd, when the Client sent tentative schedule and mood board images, and mentioned about what they’re looking for help with. Preparation needed for:

+ finding suitable locations and scenes for the photoshoot.

+ communicating with the locations to negotiate for a price (if needed)

+ arranging transportation such as cars and speed boats

Production

Apr 14

Producer & photographer arrived at Hanoi, Vietnam (at 6:30am). Fixer picks up with 2 cars to drive to Nala Retreat.
Mid morning: Arrive at Nala Retreat for recce. Then drive to Pu Luong. Stay at Pu Luong Luna Resort.

Apr 15

Scouting in Pu Luong sunrise then drive to Hanoi around noon, scouting in Hanoi until 8pm.

Apr 16

Morning: drive to Tuan Chau harbor, riding speedboat from Tuan Chau harbor to Beo Pier. Producer & Photographer board the boat at Cleo Beo Wharf. Fixers and cars stay onshore.

Apr 17

Morning: team arrives at Noi Bai airport. 01 car pick up Zoe from Hanoi Old Quarter, 01 car pick up Nicki from Tay Ho then go to airport to pick up crew.

Fishing boat arrives at Junk Boat for 01 hour location scouting

Driver to Got Pier to take the ferry to Cai Vieng Pier, 16-seater follow.

16-seater take crew from Cai Vieng Pier to hotel. Check in hotel. Shooting preparation.

Apr 18

16-seater take crew from hotel to junk boat then go to Tuan Chau to wait.

Ready to shoot Ha Long bay sunrise to 12pm
